Double Take- A Photographic Tutorial

It’s not often you come across such beautiful images, and even rarer still that they also come with a How To Guide, so I couldn’t resist sharing with you these photographs from Sarah K. Byrne.

The US photographer, based in Portland, uses a double exposure technique. The method originates from film photography when each frame could be manipulated by being exposed to a different amount of light.

The resulting portraits have an ethereal air- the variety of collage and the flow of watercolour.

Byrne kindly made a tutorial sharing her technique and explaining how you can create it yourself. Details about the tutorial are below…
