Beyoncé- Closet Art Historian

There’s a lot of nonsense on the internet but sometimes it does come up with gold.

There’s perhaps no finer example of this, for an art historian at least, than new tumblr Beyoncé Art History.

Leigh Silver a New Yorker and intern at the Arts section of Huffington Post noted the somewhat incongruous mix between the modern pop star and art history and merged the two on tumblr. It’s a fantastically bizarre mix that somehow works.

Van Gogh portraits stare out at us with even more defiance when accompanied by Beyoncé’s mottos and classical temptresses gain even more of a seductive edge as self proclaimed ‘single ladies’.
